Are you looking for new ways to use your video lectures to boost student engagement and check for understanding and strengthen your student learning assessment practices? Do you want to transform your course videos from passive content into active learning tools?

Join us for a hands-on workshop focused on  YuJa's interactive quizzing and active learning features. This session will show you how to embed questions directly into your videos, turning them into powerful tools for assessment and student interaction.

In this workshop, we will cover:

  • Building a Video Quiz: A step-by-step guide to creating and adding a video quixz or a playback quiz to any video in your media library.

  • Exploring Question Types: Learn how to use multiple choice, multiple select, and true/false questions effectively.

  • Providing Instant Feedback: Discover how to add targeted feedback and explanations for both correct and incorrect answers.

  • Gradebook Integration: Understand how to sync your YuJa quiz results directly to  your Blackboard gradebook.

  • Student Video Assignments: Create assignments that engage students in producing  their own video content

    Accessibility: Ensure videos have captions for accessibility and student success. 


The session will be hosted by, Dr. Peter Ariev, Instructional Design Specialist, and Dr. Mariann Hawken, Director Instructional Technology.

This webinar will take place in a Google Meet virtual conference room. Enter the webinar up to 15 minutes before the start time. Select the "Join Online Event" button in myUMBC to join the session.
