Qwickly Simplifies Faculty Tasks Within Blackboard

Streamline Course Availability & Announcement Postings

Qwickly is new tool deployed to faculty in Blackboard during the summer. It was designed to dramatically simplify the workflow of common tasks frequently performed by faculty.

One great example is the Make Course Available Tool. Consider the current multi-step workflow to make a course available in Blackboard: 

  1. Go into the course
  2. Open the Control Panel
  3. Expand the Properties menu
  4. Change the value of Make Course Available to Yes
  5. Submit the form
  6. Repeat for each course
Qwickly takes this repetitive task and provides instructors with a fast way to make courses available with just 2 clicks! Qwickly also supports:
  • Sending emails to all or some courses at one time
  • Posting announcements to all or some courses at one time
  • Reviewing which courses have items that need grading
To access Qwickly, log into Blackboard and click on the My Blackboard tab. The Qwickly panel is available on the left side of the page. 


These tools are restricted to faculty and TA roles and filtered to the current year (for example, SP2015, SU2015, and FA2015 semesters) for improved performance.
