100 Sites Party!
View examples, and get help switching by Jan 7 2022
Dear UMBC Sites community,
We have officially crossed over 100 websites that have switched from Sites Classic to the new UMBC Sites theme. The final cutover for all UMBC Sites to move to the new theme will be January 7, 2022.
I'd like to share a big thank you to all of the early adopters, and a shout out a few of my favorites:
Department of Dance
Cool imagery and use of the new theme features.
Department of Information Systems
Great job organizing a lot of information on the homepage.
First Generation Network
Nice use of the YouTube embed in the slideshow.
Office of Sustainability
Great job with your homepage content and use of buttons to generate action!
Welcome Week
Lots of content, along with lots of great design.

Pro tip:
Did you know you can check your website analytics like page traffic, time on site, and user demographics at any time with our handy Google Data Studio dashboard? Get there by clicking the word "Analytics" in your UMBC Sites admin welcome screen.
Key dates:
In September, we will be releasing a few minor updates to the new theme, including a direct feed of headlines from UMBC News and Magazine to UMBC Sites websites.
In October, we project to release our self-paced UMBC Sites training Blackboard course with the help of our colleagues in the Instructional technology group.
On January 7, 2022, we will migrate all remaining websites from UMBC Sites Classic to the new theme.
Stay tuned to this group for more updates.
Thank you very much!
